Magda knows where to be in Eindhoven.. check out the places and people we love to visit. ♥ Updated regularly.
EAT & DRINK
Frank - located on the other side of the Railway Station and the very, very best reason to cross the tracks! Modern cooking, vegetables in the spotlight, natural wines and a lovely atmosphere.
Kazerne - authentic modern Italian menu in the middle of design and technology exhibitions.
Restaurant Iris - a hidden gem, a cozy 'livingroom' restaurant that serves a high quality menu in which vegetables get the attention they deserve.
Bistro Le Cozy - a little bit of Paris in the middle of Eindhoven.
Ketelhuis - Strijp S's playground, a place where food, drink, art and culture meet. The chefs work with whole animals, vegetables from local farmers, and everything is prepared according to traditional methods.
Fifth - a restaurant and a bar with a wonderful terrace just outside of the city centre. And there is live jazz..
La Folie - Eindhoven's most real bar. Drop in for a cup of coffee or a beer.
Residency for the People - an artist-in-residence programme that welcomes everybody and hosts a very nice bar and restaurant. Sit down for a cocktail and order some of their delicious dumplings and korean pancakes.
Walther - Magda's brother ♥ Visit Walther for the best menswear in town. Quality brands that are handpicked by Walther himself.
Jurc - the best spot for designer clothing for men and women. Think Acne Studios, Balenciaga, Dries van Noten.
Sonar - Sonar is run by Sandra and she personally selects the best pieces that are feminine yet bold. Think Rodebjer, Filippa K, Malene Birger.
Ansh - contemporary brands for men and women. Beautifully designed store that also houses a café. So have some matcha while you try on an Ottolinger suit.
Motta - next to Ansh. The place to be for the best art-and design books.
Boekhandel Spijkerman - Eindhoven's most authentic bookstore.
Dirven - Urban Inn, Bar & Food Shop; in the hearth of the city they have nice rooms on several floors, whilst they serve all day breakfast & lunch on the groundfloor and the terrace.
Hotel Piet Hein Eek - Piet Hein Eek, Eindhoven's most famous designer, has expanded his universe with a hotel. There's a wonderful restaurant and (rooftop)bar too..
ART & CULTURE
The Pool - a space for experiments & collaborations, art & design, food, music and humans. Also know as the cultural clubhouse of Sectie C
MU Hybrid Art House - stuff is happening in Strijp-S and artspace MU is one of it's first inhabitants. Diverse exhibitions on anything NOW.
Vaderland - Just a nice bicycle ride away from Eindhoven, down the river the Dommel and in between nature and farmlands, there is Vaderland. A nature-inclusive experience and circular farm let by Joep and Lianne who do it all; farm shop / market garden / cut-flower garden / take-away meals / veg boxes / catering / wine / workshops.
Genneperparken & Genneper Hoeve - we at Magda love to go out for a good walk. The Genneper parks are right outside the city center and a wholesome place to be. There's a farm in the middle of it where you buy local produce or enjoy a drink.
Anouk Nailedit - minimalistic, clean and subtile naildesign
Salon Nessiv - the best hairdresser in town.
Fiji Beauty Experts - everything beauty.
