Otelier is founded by Yvonne Hung, a San Francisco–raised designer who relocated to Kyoto to collaborate directly with Japanese craftsmen.

We proudly Introduce Otelier’s Modern Hand Fans — bamboo, organic cotton, and 1,000 years of craft.
First invented in Japan around 800 AD. Over 60 steps to make, by a sixth-generation, 160-year-old craft partner in Anhui — China’s bamboo capital.
