Barena Venezia
All started in 1961 when founder, Sandro Zara entered the fashion industry.
In the late 80s, Zara appointed Massimo Pigozzo as creative director. The 2 founded Barena Venezia in 1993. In 2010 Francesca Zara, daughter of, became part of the family business as Barena Women’s creative director.
Barena has a fabric-first ethos. Each collection starts from the ground up, by searching interesting materials and then basing designs on the fabrics found.
The collection is not only elegant, sporty, classic, or casual; it’s a mix of all these characteristics.
